Jones the Grocer

Had a belated birthday dinner with the prettylady at Mandarin Gallery the other day. I chose Jones the Grocer since i have yet to be there before. Have always been craving for their breakfast set ever since i saw it on someone’s blog. Looks so delicious. But sadly, i didnt manage to try it till now. The menu they had was only lunch/dinner type. sob. FML. Guess breakfast is not an all-day thing for them too. sigh.

Lao Beijing @Novena Square

Decided to try for lunch the other day with mommy and the sister.

Well, i guess the food was alright overall. But the claypot chicken was kinda salty that mommy made them take it away. :/ And you see that tiny plate of fish below, that cost $9 per plate! Thankfully it tasted quite decent, but i wont say fantastic though. I guess i liked the fried rice and the beancurd the most. I even spotted scallop pieces in the rice, or either that im dreaming. heh.

The xiao long baos’ skin were a little tooooooo thin, either that i suck at picking them up since it always burst as it sticked to the “paper” at the bottom. sigh. Even the sister commented she prefer the ones from Ding tai fung.

But i wont mind going back again though. Their menu is quite extensive. Would like to try some other dishes the next time round. ;)

The roads up north, again. (day 04)

Finally it’s the last day of the trip and soon it will be back home to reality and whatsnot. :( Fun times always pass very quickly when you are enjoying. WHY!! T_T

I woke up at 745am that morning and due to the fact our tiny room have no window, it didnt feel like morning at all, with the lights off, only the sound of the air con blasting barely making its presence, i had to drag myself out of the bed and convince myself it’s really morning and that my phone clock is not lying at all. sobs.

The roads up north, again. (day 03)

Finally its the day to checkout of the hotel. sob ! goodbye to the cool weathers of genting. :( Then again, it wasnt exactly that cool also cause i woke up like 8+am feeling too warm to even sleep so i went to shower and pack up instead. ROFL!

I really loved the toilets in our hotel room. Big and spacious. I have hated how small some hotel toilets can be. Makes me feel claustrophobic. ugh. First of all, i dont really like toilets in hotel mostly. It feels kinda creepy sometimes and if its small, it makes me feel even more freaked out. Thankfully the one at genting is so big that i think i can do cartwheels in it. oki im just exaggerating. lol!

And i just have to rave. The older twin brought this professional looking huge ass hairdryer along for the trip and its so darn good to use. My gawd. U can choose the settings for hot and cold air. It dries my hair real fast. Blah! sooo much better than the one i have back home. Can’t stop thinking about it. LOL!

Okay, so everyone packed. and soon its time to leaaaaave! :(

The roads up north, again. (day 02)

And so the night before, we came back real late, the boy and i refused to get up so early just for theme park. While my eyes were still closed, i can hear everyone slowly wake and prepare for the day. One by one. And each time they were about to leave the room, someone else wakes and they ended waiting for that person. So i guess they took quite a long while before they actually manage to set off. lmao ! Funny. They even asked us both if we sure we aint gonna wake, cause someone just had to wake whenever they were leaving.

The roads up north, again. (day 01)

So this time, we made our way up to Genting to hide from the crazy weather over here. There was a total of 9 of us. Would have been 10 if Mr Perth didnt bail out last minute. *shrugs*

Anyway the night before we left, the boy and Ms Vegelover came over to my place and nap the moment they got here. -_-; Suddenly they were awake around midnight, citing hunger pangs. sheese. or rather the boy was the one whose exclaiming he was hungry. oookays. So off we went, to maccies nearby. The sister joined us as well. And soon came Jungleboy to join us at maccies! He must be either damn bored or he really missed us all, cause before meeting us at maccies, he was with the buddy at another maccies having tea. lol. wth. i know. I know you miss us. lololol.

Then the Happy couple came to pick us at 3am and we went to meet the rest at Pioneer to settle our white cards, walkie talkies before setting off. (Note: The happy couple is known as such cause they named their car “Mr Happy”. haha!) Yea, as you have guessed, Jungleboy drove with us to pioneer before going back home. aww. Then again, he should have drove with us to the causeway and then u-turn home riggght! Might as well! =X rofl.

Okay, and so helllllo MY!
