Big Time at Sims Avenue

Was supposed to accompany the boy to get his watch. That was the plan. Really.
I didn’t expect I’ll end up getting one myself, yet again.

We went to Big Time at Sims Avenue, highly recommended, by me of course. The lady who served us was very friendly and nice, patient as well. Most of all, she was eager to share her knowledge. So it was quite a nice trip there. I seldom praise people, really. If you know me that is, I have more complaints than praise for people. I can be quite anal. I know that. lol.

But well, she blew me over. Irene is her name by the way. ;)

And so, I bought an Orient watch this time! :)

She even chose a pink paperbag for me and secured it with a ribbon, lol. I like pink by the way. :D

And so this year, I went to Bandung with the boy, the buddy and GF.. (but i guess i need to change the names to Mr and Mrs Yeo) and the happy couple.

Soulout @Pasir Ris Farmway

Last weekend, decided to go to those pet farms on a suddenly whim. But my actual intention was to pay Soulout a visit. Always been wanting to go there, but never actually did since its on the other end of the country. :/
Right, fine, not that its that far but yes, im that lazy.

The place has this rustic feel abit it, kinda good to chill in the evening though. Quite warm in the day. Food wise, the menu seems normal, nothing fancy. I know that it tends to get quite packed in evenings though. Better make reservations. Especially if you want to eat their seafood. Better to do an advance call.

But of course, since we’re there in the afternoon, we just decided to get some normal food stuffs to fill the tummy.

By the way, they have a kids’ kampong farm just beside. But i didnt go in since we have to pay for the tickets to be able to enter the petting “zoo” and stuffs and some kdi was holding his birthday party there.

Just thought you mummies might want to check it out. :)

Forty Hands Coffee

The other day, i got ~~dragged~~ asked out by the food kaki. At first I told him i didnt want to go too far when he first suggested Fortyhands, but somehow he still managed to get me out by saying “come out first then we decide again!” But after meeting him, he still tell me lets go there. grrr!

Parked at the carpark behind the shop area and we entered from the back door. haha! But there are some seatings out at the back, so it wasnt all too weird coming from behind. heh. Saved us the trouble of walking one big round and entering from the front.

It was quite crowded, think due to it being a weekday and lunch hour as well.
Got ourselves a table at the outdoor seating area at the back of the cafe.

The food kaki treated me to the drinks! :D

He ordered iced latte for me. Im not much of a coffee fan, but it tasted not bad. He ordered iced mocha for himself. Thank god i didnt have that, taste was somewhat strong. Guess mocha fans should like it. :X

Yea, that staircase leads to the indoor seating area. Kinda crowded. So we had to wait till the luch crowd was somewhat over,before we manage to grab a seat inside. :D

Got a sofa seating area that came with these vintage looking seats. heh. Felt that the sofa area was kinda too big for the two of us.

So we shifted again! to a smaller seating area. hahaha! yeah i know, it’s like musical chairs eh.
*whispers* all those times we shifted, it was his idea, not me! :X

After the lunch crowd disappears, seems much more peaceful. :D

Ordered a carrot cake to share. It has even real carrot shreds! O_O

Overall, its quite a nice place to chill. Would have love the outdoor seating area at the back more if it werent so warm though. heh.
