Epic fail

Was telling the boy the other day about how i did stupid things when younger which resulted me in hurting myself and bleeding badly. zzz.

I guess dads will never realise that letting their kids watch them shave their facial hair can be so dangerous, especially if you have idiot daughters like me who like to imitate what was seen. I recalled putting the shaving foam on my chin area back then and took the shaver to try shave my chin. HAHA! wth. Yah, but obviously it resulted in deep cuts and lots of bleedings. Amazing ain’t i? :/

And then there were memories of me playing at the park with the neighbourhood kids. Tried to climb a tree and i didnt realise the branches has thorns. Tried to grab onto one and got pricked so badly that my hand kept bleeding non-stop. Cant decide why i was such an idiot. Instead of telling anyone, i just pace about clutching my bleeding hand till the domestic helper saw and freaked out. lol!

Another time was a stupid failed bicycle “adventure” with my cousin. Shared a bike with her and she crashed into a wall at the end of the slope. hahaha! Remembered she got nagged at by both our moms. :/

And ohhhh! i also recalled running right into the drain. Think i must be not paying attention to when i going.. (up till now still same. sigh) and i ended with one leg in the drain and it bleed till my socks turned crimson too. :/

Many more but maybe next time…

Heh. So did anyone else have similar stupid things like this back then?

EDIT: woh, this was written some days ago, kept forgetting to publish it. haha!

TWG @ Orchard ION

The boy, Ms Vegelover and I dropped by one late evening after we’re done with our stuffs. Service was good, waiter was polite and helpful when asked to recommend us each a tea to try. Food was alright too, well like i always say.. for the damn price we’re paying, it better be of some standard. lol.

Then again, even if food is cheap, it should be good too. :X

;)

Anyone up for Wild Honey next time round? ^^

NDP 2010 & MOF

yay! We got the tickets for NDP this year as well. Happiness! And it’s at padang this year! A new place to watch the parade from. Last year was held at the floating bay. Hope it be nice this year. Exciting. And as usual, we got the preview tickets. I kinda like watching the preview live at the parade itself and watch the actual event on National Day via tv at home. heh.

Collection of tickets this year was from HDB hub. Felt that it’s kinda more troublesome as compared to last year’s colelction place. Had to walk and follow the signage for a long distance before reaching the room for collection. Thankfully it was quite empty, but then again, it was a weekday noon.Guess not many people are available during those hours. :X

Her new car

So Ms Vegelover bought a ‘new’ 1-yr old car the other day. A pretty good buy i must say and it’s in my favourite color. Red! and most of all.. my favourite brand, Honda! :D

hehe! Bought this little kitties for her to put in her car. Spent some time looking for them cause the shop that we all bought from last time has shifted! *faint* Went round to hunt to find the same one for her as ours, but can’t find, so end up got these for her. Tsk.

But they look cute too ya? ^^/

iSteaks Grillhouse

For anyone who lived or goes often to Serangoon Gardens should know they used to have Astons there. Its very crowded during meal times and usually you have to wait before you get a seat. But some time back, they have been replaced by this new stall called iSteaks. At first glance, their uniform and stall-board seems quite similar to Astons. I even thought Astons had a makeover, till i noticed the different name of the stall!

No wonder, the patrons in the coffeehouse seems to have dropped significantly. In fact many that were there, were eating food from other stalls as well. Finally my curiosity got the better of me and i suggested walking over to give it a try. So the boy and i strolled over there one evening for dinner. Bad idea. Way bad idea.

Jones the Grocer

Had a belated birthday dinner with the prettylady at Mandarin Gallery the other day. I chose Jones the Grocer since i have yet to be there before. Have always been craving for their breakfast set ever since i saw it on someone’s blog. Looks so delicious. But sadly, i didnt manage to try it till now. The menu they had was only lunch/dinner type. sob. FML. Guess breakfast is not an all-day thing for them too. sigh.

Lao Beijing @Novena Square

Decided to try for lunch the other day with mommy and the sister.

Well, i guess the food was alright overall. But the claypot chicken was kinda salty that mommy made them take it away. :/ And you see that tiny plate of fish below, that cost $9 per plate! Thankfully it tasted quite decent, but i wont say fantastic though. I guess i liked the fried rice and the beancurd the most. I even spotted scallop pieces in the rice, or either that im dreaming. heh.

The xiao long baos’ skin were a little tooooooo thin, either that i suck at picking them up since it always burst as it sticked to the “paper” at the bottom. sigh. Even the sister commented she prefer the ones from Ding tai fung.

But i wont mind going back again though. Their menu is quite extensive. Would like to try some other dishes the next time round. ;)
